The title basically explains the question.

Has anyone ever used the CPIC police check from mybackcheck.com as the police certificate of no conviction at the Vancouver consulate?

It is my opinion that you get the one from Ottawa/RCMP through a police station or a company like commissionaires. You are guaranteed to not have problems with the RCMP letterhead/stamp/seal.

Technically speaking it looks like mybackcheck.com meets the requirements (CPIC) but they list this on their website:

Will my Canadian Criminal Record Check help me in determining my eligibility for a Visa or entry into Canada or the United States?

No. Our Canadian Criminal Record Check will reveal records of criminal convictions for which a pardon/record suspension has not been granted, contained in the RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records accessed via the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC). The Canadian Border Service Agency (CBSA) and US Customs have access to a variety of other databases that may contain other information including but not limited to outstanding entries, convictions under Provincial Statutes, and pardoned offences. Please contact CBSA or US Customs if you need to determine your eligibility for a visa or entry into Canada or the United States.

I'd call them directly and ask. If you have enough time before your interview you could email the consulate and ask them directly and know for sure.

I've actually read on other posts/forums that some people have been denied the visa because that's the only certificate they had. I've ordered my local background check it just takes 4 weeks to get back to me.

It's unfortunate but I just had to cancel my interview appointment and wait for a later one to appear on the website...on the bright side you're allowed to reschedule once without having to pay for 265$ USD interview fee again
