Interview in Vancouver is set - how long should I stay?

I've just scheduled my K1 interview which will be at the Vancouver consulate, it's set for a Tuesday morning.

Since I'm flying into Vancouver and don't really have any relatives or friends living there I'll be staying in a hotel/mostly going out to eat.

I'm wondering if it's necessary to stay in Vancouver for any amount of time POST-Interview? Since the interview is Tuesday morning could I pretty much book a flight that leaves Tuesday afternoon? Or should I be staying in the city another day or two in case they need anything extra?

My interview was at 8 am and my flight left at 5pm. I had plenty of time in between. Just give yourself a few extra hours in between the interview and the flight and you should have no issues.

Yeah I would definitely book a flight in the late afternoon with a 9am interview if I left on the same day.

I was more worried about the possibility that they call you and need you to come back in a day or two after your initial interview...but I'm guessing this almost never happens?

For an 8am interview, i was there at 745 and out by 945. My understanding is that if they are missing anything they will give you a 221g with information on how to submit the missing information, which you would do by mail (which is what happened to a couple of people there for k1s at the same time as me). So i would say book a flight in the late afternoon and you'll be fine. Unless you have late check out, leave your stuff with your hotel front desk in case your interview finishes after check out time, as you cant take all your stuff to the interview. Then a late afternoon flight gives you time to go and pick it up before you fly out.

AOS from K1

4/20/16: Package delivered

4/27/16: NOA1

5/23/16: Biometrics

6/3/16: Ready for interview status on I-485

7/5/16: SR1 filed (over 75 days)

7/26/16: SR2 filed (over 90 days) - 96 days

You can leave same day. I left Montreal at 2pm day of my interview.
