BG:

I am US cit. and my wife (Peruvian) whom I just brought in under CR1, spousal visa 1 year ago +. She has GC. ( pending 751).

We wanted to have her son visit ( 26yr old) [ a Peru national]. so we found him a job at the Ski- Lodge , He has vast experience in resorts and hotels, (his major in college in Lima with letter from college saying they recommend this experience)

He applied for a j1 vista ( i think that is correct) with the letter of employment form the lodge operators. ( and from me explaining above)

The US embassy rejected his request, for no reason at all. ( last fall, USA)

My question: what is the easiest way for this young man to visit the USA?

3 months during Peru summer would be best.

" my first idea was to fly mexico and walk across , swiping PP in reader"

is this possible?"

I suspect my wifes fresh CR1 is blocking him, ( knowing the paranoia at HLS)

can any one shead some light on this?

thanks for any help or leads.

That's not how you apply for a J1

http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1267.html#1

A Visitors Visa is a B2, he applies at the US Consulate.

Probably quite difficult to get from Peru, may be best to plan on visiting him.
