Hitler was elected democratically. That didn't turn out real well either. Absolutism is not a philosophy that coexists well with liberty, regardless of the form of government.

I don't think Bernie Sanders is the guy in this election who is trying to bring absolutism to America.

I don't know about an uprising, but I think the political landscape will be much different for the 2020 Presidential election. I wouldn't be surprised to see Republicans come round to socialism.

I don't see another generation of leaders being as pig headed and stubborn as the one's we have today. Younger generations, from an early age, have learned that there is value in teamwork and compromise. Won't be 2020, but further down the line, I think they will succeed where we dropped the ball.

The inability to find a middle ground has, IMO, been a great failure of the current/recent leadership in both parties. You have to give something to get something. They seem to forget that.

I'm not. The constitutional age limits on representatives as well as the nature of the positions leads to a higher percentage of candidates being older.

It's normal that more politicians would be baby boomers. I do believe there are some generational tendencies that tend to contribute to the current political climate being unusually obstinate.

I agree, and I hope they do. I'd rather have some regrets about the candidate I don't vote for than having concerns about the one I do. I'd like to base my vote on choosing the best of the best. Rather than the least worst.
