Just wondering how long it took after the medical until your interview was scheduled? Deadline for our Visa interview to be completed is April 1st and we still haven't received notice of our interview date. The medical was done on March 1st. Thank you

Thanks for the response Nick.

So what do you think happens if the interview is scheduled after the deadline? Would/could that even happen? It's quite worrisome. What are your thoughts? Just curious

I haven't seen a 2016 version of the instruction letter (packet 3) from London, but in the past it always said if you went past your date of petition validity, you should bring a new letter of intent (from the American) to your interview so they can revalidate the petition. It should say he/she is still free to marry and intends to marry you within 90 days of your entry on a K1 visa.

Some bring the letter and they don't even bother to look at it, but since they instruct you to do it, have your fiancé get one in the mail to you. It is really a non-issue and nothing to worry about. Nothing bad will happen. More of a deadline that isn't enforced like you fear.
