Received my visa but the visa page is a little ripped?

Imagine you put a drop of glue on a paper and two papers get stuck together. My visa page has a tiny rip like that right where the expiration date is. The piece of paper is still there but you know, its a little detached.

I have already sent the embassy an email. Would this cause any problems?

yes it might create a problem,fix this issue before u take a flight in order to not get in trouble at the airport here or in the usa.

I think it shouldn't be a problem as all the info is available to CBP officers on computer.

Thanks for the reply. All the info is still intact and nothing is missing, just a tiny rub/rip of the paper. I am going to book my flight. Hopefully you are right.

It's still stuck on READY since before the interview.

I didn't get much status updates either. Maybe two or three and all close to the issue date. Once it changed to NIV and the next day it changed to ISSUED. Your timeline say you also got ISSUED?

Nah, I wish it said Issued. It hasn't moved from READY since before the interview date. It hasn't changed to NIV or anything. The NIV thing says NO STATUS. The IMMIGRANT side says READY.

It's confusing because the CO said that we'll get the passport back in 3 weeks and then they do this. It's ridiculous to give hope and happiness and then do this stuff. Wouldn't it be much nicer to just be honest and say 2 months?

Did you imagine gluing the visa, or did you actually glue it? The consulate will tell you how to proceed. Do not book any travel plans until you know if the visa needs to be printed again, and I would guess it needs to be. I cannot imagine that a visa that has been altered would be accepted.

Mimolicious you are misreading. I did not alter it in any way. Just describing how the page looks upon arrival. I checked the passport right in the courier office to make sure the visa was in there and that's when I notice the small rip (like some tape/glue got stuck on it causing the paper to stick together). Even showed the manager there and all he said was it was not noticeable and to keep it safe. The Embassy doesn't allow phone calls, which is why I emailed them to make sure.

Siddo, even normal processing can take a few weeks. Recently I have seen people get issued about 40-50 days after their interview both those who were approved at the interview and those who were put in AP. You can send the embassy an email after a month of your interview but you will get a generic response. Just hope you don't end up in long AP.
