morning

for the police cert i noticed that on the interview prep pdf from the embassy site it says to go to the police headquarters in lagos, but what if you stay in port harcourt ?shouldn't u just get your police cert from the state your in?

You can, and probably should, though it takes longer to get (about a week, instead of same- or next-day) and costs more (up to 3-5x as much, depending on your haggling skills) if you do it outside Lagos. As I understand it, all police certificates are processed at the Alagbon office in Lagos. If you apply for one elsewhere, they still have to send it to Alagbon.

So the decision is to go to Lagos or not, and one should make that decision based on the urgency of your case and the cost to travel to Lagos.
