Greetings to all Members!

We are finally starting our family reunion process. My Wife is a GC holder, got it by DV.

So I got most of papers ready and started filing I-130. And have couple of questions.

a) located under number 14 If you are a lawful permanent resident alien, complete the following: Date and place of admission for adjustment to lawful permanent residence and class of admission"

What to declare there? resident since date written on card? place? she lives in LA and got it by mail. Class is like mentioned on card as Category DV1

So 08/05/15 Los Angeles CA DV1 - like this?

b) what to do with sections where is no answer for me... put N/A or leave blank...

Sorry for stupid questions which probably has answers here...

Thanks to All and Good Luck!!!

(a) Put the date and category written on the Green Card. For place of admission, it is where she had the interview in the US. So if her interview was in LA, then your answer to line 14 should be "08/05/2015 Los Angeles, CA, USA DV1"

(b) According to the I-130 instructions: State that an item is not applicable with "N/A". If the answer is none, write "none".

Hope this helps.

Everything in Section C is about the relative, who is the intended immigrant/beneficiary. So if you are the one intending to immigrant, everything in Section C is about you.

So, question 15 in Section C is about the intending immigrant's current job, wherever it may be. If you have a current job, put that down. If you don't have a current job then, write 'None'.

regarding my first question...

Her interview was in Moscow Russia, and she received visa. Then after 5 months she moved to States and then after a month she received GC with the mail.

regarding second question.

I am the one who is that spouce who intends to immigrate, so question about my job. BUT about my job in States which never happened or job I got in Russia...:)

The place of admission is her point of entry, where she entered the United States the first time as a permanent resident. If she flew in the LA, then that would be LA. Where she received the actual card in the mail is not relevant.

The other question you still have, you should list your current job, wherever you are right now. It doesn't matter where you are, Russia or US or somewhere else, what is your current job right now, list that. If you are not working right now, put down 'None'. If you are working, write the name and address of your employer and the date this employment began.

Hope this helps.

How come I can't edit my messages???

so additional question. As I just noticed that form I-130 on the USIS is expired! as seen on top right corner. is that ok? :)

TNX!!!

I believe you can only edit your messages within the first eight minutes of posting it initially.

Check the USCIS page for the I-130. It seems the new edition is not out yet so it is okay to use this one with the expiration date of 12/31/2015. Also, on that same webpage you will the find the Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance. Make sure to complete that and submit it with your I-130, so you can get electronic confirmation of when USCIS receives and accepts your I-130 petition.

Thank You again will attach 1145!

One more thing appeared and confused again.

So my wife is GC holder, that makes her a petitioner and I am beneficiary in this form (me or her don't have kids yet.)

I-130 section C question 15. So my wife is GC holder, that makes her a petitioner and I am beneficiary in this form.

We was about to put there my name date of birth and place. But I just checked the Example form here and wwas confused. Do I misunderstand something or it's just a mistake in example form.(petitioner vote for himself there).

I'm assuming you mean question 17 in Section C, as I have already answered about question 15.

The example I-130 from VisaJourney is CORRECT. Remember, the petitioner (your wife) is supposed to complete the I-130. So everything in Section C is about the beneficiary (YOU!). And you have to list the beneficiary's spouse and children in question 17, that is YOUR spouse and children have to be listed in question 17. So list your wife's name (who is also the peitioner herself) in question 17. And since you don't have any children, you don't need to list any more other than your wife's name, relationship ('Spouse'), date of birth and country of birth (These should all be the same as the petitioner's info in Section B).

Hope this helps.

Additional question please. It's about g325a. At the end of the form question: this form is submitted in connections with an application - What to declare there? - F2A or I-130 or else?

Thanks!!!

also, additional nuance please. what would be more reasonable to declare about address my wife (petitioner) living now, where I am intend to live and shipping address.

I do understand that it would be better to declare my wife current address which is under her 1 year lease (if there be some check its +) but she is not really happy with this place and might move... this make this address not super stable... But there is an stable address where my aunt lives, it's her property and won't go anywhere in near future.

So what address is more reasonable to declare as my wife current, place for our future and as shipping...

Thanks Alot!!!
