Our immigration journey that is. My wife took her citizenship oath today and we applied for her expedited passport to join the family for Songkran.

A very big thank you to everybody on this site for all their help, guidance and encouragement. A special shout out to Ning and Karee if they are still around. While we paid easyfianceevisa for the K-1, the help from this site enabled us to AOS, ROC and Naturalize on our own.

While the first few months were a bit rocky, my wife eventually got her driver's license, found a local temple, has many Thai friends, went to and is still going to school and found a job as cook in a Thai restaurant about 5 minutes from our house. We return to visit family at least once a year. And, my wife learned to snowboard this year at Mammoth.

Life is good and I wish all of those starting or on their way, the best of luck.:thumbs::thumbs:

Congratulations. We will miss Songkran this year as Gob's interview is next week on Good Friday but hope to be back in Buriram before the rainy season starts.

I've read that with the drought the government is hoping to curtail some of the festivities this year.:rofl::rofl:

Right after the farmers let the rice die. We wear funny hats in the neighborhood so the children know where to throw the water and sit patiently for our feet to get washed but avoid the main roads for the week.
