How can I attend my fiancee's K1 visa interview?

I was interviewed in HCMC consulate AFTER my fiancee was interviewed. At the beginning, after we were called up, I went to the window with her, just to let them know I was present. Two officers interviewed my fiancee and after about 10 minutes, she came and got me. I was interviewed to clarify some financial/tax paperwork and some personal questions too. We have a 21-year age difference, so that came up. They also asked about my job and what my fiancee would do while waiting for a green card. It wasn't easy or painless - but it was fair. Be prepared.

If you can be there with her, do so. I firmly believe it makes a big, big difference.

Good luck.

Your fiance' cannot speak for you. The CO may or may not ask the USC anything. The beneficiary must be prepared.

If the embassy allowed a petitioner attend the interview then she/he would waited outside of the room. My then-fiancé ( my now husband) went to my interview, he waited at waiting room and after I got approved, the CO asked me to bring him in. He congrulated both of us. But a petitioner can't do anything to help fiancé (e) to answer questions from CO.

Sometimes, going to the interview helps. Other times, you might become the target.

Good luck!

why do I become the target? can you explain to me?

Like the CO could end up interviewing you more than your fiance.

It has happened before.

Is It harder ?

It called "Stokes Interview" and most of times occurred at US embassies in high fraud countries for US visas. You and your fiancé (e) will be interviewed separately to match the answers. It is harder and you should find about this on VJ if you were interested to learn about it.
