I-864 and Part 3

I am filling out the AOS and EAD forms, which include completing the i-864 application (Affidavit of support). Specifically, Part 3.

I am assuming I am checking off "YES" for my wife. Her children will join us later and I understand they will go through the same process of medical, etc. to get their Visas (K2s). Do I need to specify them here on Part 3? It's just a little confusing.

Thanks,

Charlie

hi

no, you will file separate petitions for them as their stepdad

yes for your wife

I disagree. The K-2 is a derivative of the K-1. There is no separate petition. They should usually be on the same Affidavit of Support (even our guide says so); though not sure whether the joining later affects it.
