Once the USCIS tracker shows our RFE response as received, I will contact the lawyer about involving my congressman. Especially now that he had his new medical done we are on a 6 month time clock to get him here or repeat medical. Everything is so backwards! Story of my life a swear!

Thanks Jawaree!! (L)

Just scrolling through this forum and reading to can any useful information since we are awaiting interview date. I believe that some states have some sort a consulate/embassy representative. Have you tried to research to see if there is one for your state? Although the lawyer is representing your case well, I believe you have to fight for what's yours and attack it from all fronts. So, I no harm, no could my contacting either or both....to see if they can assist in your fight to get him here.

I will look for that thank you. On Jawaree's advise, I did speak to our lawyer about contacting our congressman. She said yes do it now. I did that yesterday. They are assigning a caseworker who should contact me next week.

I was scrolling through this post and found that your story has many similarities to mine. Reading it has been very helpful and I want to thank you. I pray that you and your finance's issue get resolved soon as do I pray for my own. In my case I'm waiting for some documents from the Jamaican government so that we can submit them to the embassy and of course Jamaica is taking forever. In the meantime I'm afraid the medical will expire. Is it official that they expire after 6 months?

Thank you! Yes they are only good for 6 months. Because USCIS made us do our waiver process in reverse, our time clock is now ticking. We got our congressman involved and a caseworker will be contacting them next week.

I, too, am also worried about the JA embassy dragging their feet. I plan to stay on them with our lawyer and congressman's help. Enough is enough.

Keep in touch. I'll be praying for us!
