We are VERY concerned.  With all that's been happening.

 

My husband is from the Middle East - not one of the 7 countries thank goodness.

 

But in this environment who knows which ones might be added.

 

Plus since we haven't gotten the green card yet we're worried maybe we just won't be approved for it.  I guess I'm just worrying over everything.

 

I hope all the worry is for nothing.

 

Please keep us updated on what you find out.

I received a nice letter in the mail from USCIS saying my medical has expired and I have to bring an updated one to our interview. They didn't give us any sort of interview date though... just the reminder that the medical has expired -_-

I applied for a renewal of my EAD last week. I've now waited over a year for an interview.  (They scheduled and canceled twice)

 

Hoping that the new EAD comes before the one I have expires.

Does anyone know how we will receive the answer to a service request? Will we get an email or something in the mail? I put a request in at the end of January and the confirmation said to expect an answer by February 11, but I haven't received anything :(

281 days since bio-metric appointment, and still no news. 

 

Now, I want to seek all your opinion. How much weight does having a job carry when they consider approving application? I have been working with my current company on H1B for a little over 3 years by now. I make enough money to support myself but of course my USC husband fill i864. I did submitted 3 years tax info when we file i130/i485 as well. 

 

If I were to resign from this job before interview is scheduled, how bad am I going to look on the application? 

i130 (both parents)

2021/06/04 i130 filed online, routed to Nebraska

2021/09/03 RFE received, responded within a day
2021/11/19 Both i130 approved.

Currently waiting for cases to be transferred to NVC

I'll just wait.. or go some other time... I was having bad luck this week.. a pole fell on my car so that was my sign to not go

I-130 only gets approved *after* you get approved on the interview (along with your I-485) so there is nothing to worry about in that regard.
