yea NYC typically is about 9 to 11 months on average

Everyday Monday to Friday between midnight and 8 am try to create an infopass.

 

Click HERE ... you will be directed to the USCIS.GOV page where you can schedule your appointment, click within the US and enter your zipcode, then choose the field office.  It shows availabilities for the next two weeks if any.  Check periodically because people do cancel also.

Finally got an interview date ! 

October 26th.I really wasn’t expecting it to be so soon since it’s nyc and I filed in December 2016.

But I couldn’t be happier to be about done with immigration until I either apply for citizenship or renew this thing in 10years. Either way, years down the line. So ready!

I have a question , maybe you can help me. Do I Have to bring the i864 (support affidavits) for the interview ?? My computer crashed a while ago, it was the only place I had it saved.

You really dont have to.. on the interview letter they listed everything that you would have already sent with your file.

You can get all of them they list and or copies of the samethings they already have on file... but  u definitely dont need to take any forms you filled out .. the only one that you would need to fill out again is the medical exam if it has passed 1 year, they say it is expired once it is passed a year.

Thank you so much. I was really freaking out bc I read about people bringing them to the interview with them. I do need to redo my medical, I'm going tomorrow. I just didn't expect it such short notice !! But i'll take it lol .Thank you again.

Hi guys..

Here is what i am confused.  Some people have their I-130 approved before the interview?

 

I filed my combo (I-130 and AOS) Dec 22 2016 (NY office)

and I still having I-130 showing as "Case Was Received On December 21, 2016, we received your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative,...."

And my I-485 show as "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" for god knows how long.

 

Just want to ask if its normal that I-130 still showing as "case received" after almost 10 mon? or it can be approved together with I-485 during the interview process.

I too filed concurrently with the I-485, my I-130 status didn't change until they approved the I-485 and shipped my card.

Omg omg omg I can't contain my emotions. So I finally got the mail that was delivered from Saturday because I was out of town. Yes ppl it was my interview notice. I am scheduled for November 08 💃💃💃💃💃💃 at the Manhattan Office
