So yours took less than a week from when you mailed the new medical to card in production?! This gives me hope. The NY field office received our new medical exactly one week ago.

OK filer on Monday 21st August I visited the Social Security Card Centre in Brooklyn to apply for my SS number/card. I filled out the application n then my number was called, the agent that dealt with me indicated that it will take 14 working days for me to get my number/card. On USCIS website there is a software that helps you track the progress of any public assistance or benefits you have applied for such as ur SSCard/number. This evening I signed into same n got the above msg. I just wanted to know if anyone has experience same n what was the outcome n hope long after did they received their card in the mail. Thank you.

The SSA would be ready to issue you a social security number, you can go now.. thats what that message means.

You just need your EAD, and passport... youd receive your ssn in 10 days, and then you can get all your state docs.

GM thank you I already apply since Monday 21st August n was told by the SS centre agent that it will take up to ten days. I went to the SS centre in Brooklyn @ Borough Hall.
