Good afternoon NYC crew,

I got a response from the Congressman's office today, which I take as good news. The amazing aide at his office sent me the exact response that he got from USCIS regarding my case...

"Please be advised that the applicant’s I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, MSCXXXXXXXXXX, A# XXXXXXXX is in the local scheduling queue for an Adjustment of Status interview at USCIS, New York District office. Currently there are no interview dates available. USCIS will schedule the case for interview as soon as an interview date becomes available.

Mrs. XXXXXXXXX should receive a new appointment notice within 60 days. USCIS mailed her a notice on January 31st, 2017 stating her Form I-693m has expired. On her next scheduled interview, please submit a new medical Form I-693 in a sealed envelope.

Mrs. XXXXXXXXX will be notified by mail once an interview date becomes available."

So apparently they are just really, really backlogged right now... At least we are on the queue and they gave us a margin of 60 days. And it's comforting to know nothing is wrong with our application or that it's lost or something crazy like that.

Im glad that their response this time for you is more specific and clear that you are in line. Hopefully that comforts you a little bit. Keep us posted!

Good morning everyone

FINALLY got my interview notice for April 3rd!!!! It is literally the entire year of wait!

Now, question - My health form was dated 3/31/2016, but I am going in for interview at 4/3/2017. Does it mean I need an updated i693?

i130 (both parents)

2021/06/04 i130 filed online, routed to Nebraska

2021/09/03 RFE received, responded within a day
2021/11/19 Both i130 approved.

Currently waiting for cases to be transferred to NVC

Whooo such good news to receive on a Friday. Maybe you will get a letter in the mail about the expiring I-693. If I were you, even if I didn't get a notice, I would still get an updated one. You don't want to get a rejection for something small like that especially when you've been waiting for a year. I know it's annoying; I'm in the process of getting a new I-693 myself. All the places I tried want to charge $200+ but we are at the mercy of USCIS. :(
