she got her age of declaration in bayelsa state in 2011 and we planned on getting the attestation of birth at the her local npc office in rivers state, would that be ok or does she have to go to the npc office in bayelsa?

and when u say filling to the nvc do you mean when i file for the i485? or shoould i include her attestation and age of declaration oin my k1 petition?

thanks u cleared alot

I can only speak from my experience on this matter: I got a declaration of age from one state (Lagos) and tried to get the attestation of birth from the NPC office in another (Abuja) and was turned away. Perhaps it depends on the discretion of the local NPC office. However, you can always get a declaration of age anytime you want, so if Rivers is her state of residence, she can easily get a declaration of age from a federal high court in Port Harcourt.

Ah, I see you're filing for K1. I don't really know how the K1 process works (I was speaking about the IR1/CR1, for which you submit beneficiary's birth certificate to the NVC). Follow the K1 process; if it asks for a birth certificate, be sure to submit BOTH the attestation of birth and the declaration of age.

Best wishes.
