SLEC Medical Exam Results to be forwarded straight to Embassy

Hi all! I was going to call SLEC to inquire about this directly, but they weren't answering their phones.
I went back there today for my immunization and results. (It was all pretty quick, by the way. I was out in 2.5 hours.) I was given the x-ray CD, vaccination record, and stamped passport, and was told that the results will be forwarded straight to the embassy. My receipts weren't given back to me either.
Sooo, is this cause for worry? Would anybody know the usual reasons why the results are forwarded to the embassy?

The thing is, SLEC has been releasing results to applicants since I believe 2015. The embassy letter also states the same:

SLMCEC will release the medical exam results directly to the applicants unless instructed otherwise by the Panel Physician. Applicants are required to bring the sealed medical report to their scheduled interview at the U.S. Embassy Manila. Tampered pouches will not be accepted in the interview and applicants will be instructed to return the pouch to SLMCEC for reseal.

It is important that you have your medical examination report with you when you come to the Embassy for your visa interview. Otherwise, your visa application will be refused or you may be asked to return for another appointment.

The carrying of the physical record has either SLEC sending to USEM or the beneficary hand carrying their results for over a year now. This procedure is determined by SLEC and is normal. There is no need on your part to be concerned.

I recommend asking your questions about the visa process for the Phillippines in their subforum your appt to get better answers. Good experienced people there that are willing to help you.

I thought it was nothing to worry about, but I drive myself crazy with anxiety about everything. I basically just needed someone to tell me it was okay. Thanks a bunch!

I can feel you. lol I always worry about everything.. I always need someone to tell me that "everything is fine!" Greenbaum is a great advicer in this forum :)

In Bahrain, when I have done my medical, I had to wait for one week for the result. Then the hospital forwarded it directly to US Embassy. Also, the same day they sent my medical examination result to US Embassy in Bahrain, I also got a copy of it. I have made 4 copies of my medical exam result & scanned it and saved it to my usb as it will be needed for AOS ;)

God Bless in your journey! I am sure your medical will be fine and everything will be a-OK ;)

When I got done with my medical in SLEC last week they gave me a sealed envelope (medical result), vaccination record and x-ray cd. What did they stamp on your passport?

There are two stamps:

SLMDEC-PDS with a signature underneath,

And another bigger stamp that also has a signature, the date when I first went in for the medical with a "B" notation underneath.

I did see this on SLEC's website, although I don't know whether or not they keep the website updated.

The medical report and visa photographs are submitted by St. Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic directly to the U.S. Embassy, with few exceptions. In most cases, only the passport, CD of Chest X-ray, and Vaccination Documentation Worksheet are given to the applicants.

SLEC's website and the USEM Embassy Letter are old and newer procedures are being used that sometimes you are not aware of. Your experience is a perfect example.

To that end I have a website design specifically for the "gotchas" which are those things that your not told about but I keep you informed with updated information. I cover The K1 visa process for the interview in the Philippines. The link is below in my signature. The information is Free.

Nah, nothing to worry about. I had mine forwarded to US Embassy directly. I was only given the CD for my x-ray result. Other than that, I was empty handed leaving SLEC :-)

Happens both ways man, the new norm is to handcarry but some are still forwarded. I haven't seen anyone figure out the specific reason why but visas have been issued with no problems both ways.
