NVC Notified me that my petition for my spouse has been approved. What next?

I just received a notice in the mail from NVC telling me that my Form I-130 has been approved and that they will be contacting my wife concerning further immigrant visa processing steps.

When should my wife be expecting NVC to contact her?

What should I be doing on my own end at this point?

Hi Dave,

If your case is at NVC and they've assigned a case number already you can begin processing of your case. Below is a link to the wiki for the NVC process. All that you and your wife need to do is outlined there. There are a couple of fees that need to be paid and several documents that you and your wife will need to send in before NVC can complete the case and before an interview can be scheduled at the embassy.

NVC Received Case: 12/30/15

DS-261 Submitted: 1/11/16

Paid AOS fee: 1/13/16

Paid IV fee: 1/22/16

AOS & IV Package sent: 2/3/16

NVC Scan Date: 2/5/16

Case Complete: 3/8/16

NVC email w/Interview Letter: 3/10/16

Interview Date: 4/21/16

Interview Result: Approved!!
