Hi all,

I live in China and filed our I-130 in January. 45 days later I got an email from the consulate in Guangzhou telling me to file the DS-260. I completed the form on-line, got the other two requested items, and I am ready to send this to the consulate. They gave me a cover letter that I am to attach to the envelope when I send this. I can only send it using the consulate courier CITIC. That is no problem, my problem is, I can't find an address anywhere in any of the documents or the email they sent. My plan now is to go to CITIC tonight and hope they know what to do and where to send it.

Does anyone have experience with this? Am I missing the address somewhere, or will CITIC know the address after I show them this cover letter?

Thanks in advance if you have advise.

Jon

Hi Jon, on the email you received did you receive a case #?

On that email you should have a link to file your DS-260 as well as a link to make an appointment.

Since you're filling DCF you shouldn't have to mail anything.

You fill out your I-864, get the medical done and carry them and all your supporting documents for your interview.

Hope this helps...

Quick update. I also sent an email to the consulate asking where to send the mail to.

They said to take it to CITIC bank. That is the official courier in China. I took the requested documents and CITIC knew exactly what to do with it. It was free of charge and took about 10 minutes.

7Ken,

I did file DS-260 on-line. After completing the form, I had to print the cover page and then mail that using the courier to the consulate. I am not sure if it is normal or not, the email I got was pretty cookie cutter so I assumed it was standard procedure. I also had to send 2 more pictures of my wife, I figure they lost the other two I gave them with the I-130. Now I will wait 15 days and then schedule the medical and interview.

Thanks for the input!

Interesting and surprising to know the process is different.

Regardless I'm glad to hear you got it straightened out and hope all goes well.
