I am moving and trying to change address on USCIS site for my I751 application. When I submit the form though the site gives me an error :

You must select the Form Number associated to your Receipt Number. The Form Number you selected does not match our records for that Receipt Number.

Anyone know why this could be happening?

You have two reciept numbers. One for the I-751 and the other that says cri-89. Try both but the I-751 one should work.

I have tried both several times with I751 form selected and get the same error. I guess the next thing to do is call USCIS?

The number starts with WAC (if filing from CSC) or EAC (if filing from VSC). Omit the dashes.

I tried both the numbers (I175 and CR189) even though the dropdown only has I175 option under form type. Both did not work. Further my I175 number does not work for checking case status but the CR189 does work for checking case status.

I called USCIS and was told that physical change of address is different from change of mailing address. Was told that the online application is for physical change of address only and can be processed only after the actual move has taken place. They told me to call them back next week after I was done completing the physical move.

For Mailing address change they told me to write a letter to VSC and that they will not send me back a letter confirming the mailing address change instead I have to get a letter delivered receipt from post office.

Does this sound about right? Also can someone pls confirm that VSC mailing address is:

VERMONT SERV CENTER

75 LOWER WELDEN ST

ST ALBANS, VT 05479-0001

(800) 375-5283

Is there some special form or letter format I should use when writing to VSC about mailing address change?

I am getting the same error message when I tried both numbers (both I751 receipt number rom extension letter AND CRI89 from biometric letter).

Did you end up sending a snail mail to Vermont center for change of address?

I don't know how to proceed at this point since both numbers are not working.

Should I manually send a letter too?

I called USCIS and had them change it over the phone and they said to also mail the AR11 to the Department of Homeland Security as well which I did today.

Hey I just tried to change my address online one more time and this time worked!

I thought CRI89 would work, but this time I751 number (the first EAC number on the extension letter worked.

1. On the print page, it lists my confirmation number and also there is section "Expect a reply by: April 1 2016". Do I actually get a confirmation mail or something from USCIS regarding this address change?

Did anyone get it?

2. Also, if I call USCIS customer service to confirm the change of address, can they do that for me?

I was also just able to change address now using the I751 number. I got the same expect a reply by April 1 message, not sure if this would be via email or USPS.

yeah I wonder if they are sending an actual letter. I received an email right away though with my confirmation info

Hi, we probably will do a change of address as well and have a few questions.

So if we want to change of address, we use the first receipt number? And did you get any confirmation after you changed your address online?

Also were you able to receive your approval letter and GC at the new address?

Thank you
