so, you think a self respecting woman should overlook blatant sexism from their choice in presidential candidate because it's not a big deal and every man is the same in his shallowness? how condescending.

Could be worse:

I know plenty of self respecting women(including my wife) that are at the very least considering it only because they also don't want Clinton. It's not rocket science. Not every decision someone makes has to do with lack of self respect, and it's very condescending and pretentious to automatically assume so.

You do know it will more than likely be Clinton vs Trump? And most of the discussion here is not about the primaries, but the general elections. Cause trust me there are others I too would vote for before Trump(as mentioned before Paul was one of my favs).

Between Clinton and Trump is the unfortunate choice for all of us though. I know you don't like Clinton - would you vote for her? Or for no one? That's the exact same dilemma the other side has.

So you have made up your mind. As the man who taught me to fish would say, don't cast over empty water.

But the topic here is Trump and the words he uses to talk about women

I wouldn't let him near my daughter, particullary after this quote in Rolling Stone about his daughter

"Yeah, [ivanka’s] really something and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married, and ya know, her father"

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

I know that wasn't aimed at me but being I'm kind of on the same side as him with that allow me to answer that;

It's all a function of who you compare him to and who he's running against. Some of us just think as bad as he is, Clinton or Sanders are worse. You're allowed to disagree.

But that's just it. He's not being compared to anyone that you just mentioned. These comments were all made by him. Some a while ago, some recently.

You shouldn't have to do this kind of jujitsu every time his name comes up. We know you'd vote for him if you could, you've said it a hundred times, kind of like some weird disclaimer(I don't like him, but...).

like i said, i don't know any trump supporters in real life. zero. none. not even my crazy fundie family can get behind him.

and i stand by what i said, it's your wife's choice to do what she wants with her vote and i'm sure there are going to be plenty of people who cast their vote for what they consider to be the lesser of two evils. i cannot wrap my head around even considering a vote for a sad little man who thinks he's self made when in reality he's nothing more than an entitled/affluent racist-sexist with a massive ego - which the 'white working tribe' or whatever, lol is stroking quite nicely.

Like Val, we're voting for Sanders. If not, then no one.

And it's not the same dilemma for the other side. They could vote for Rubio, Cruz, or just stay at home. Votes that go to Trump are folks who want to vote for him. No one is putting a gun to their heads.

Are there ever any points you DON'T completely miss?

No I did not make up my mind. It will probably be up in the air until election day, not only with me or my wife but with millions.

I'm not the one who took this off the topic of his comments, I'm just responding to others comments on how or why anyone would vote for him.

like i said, i don't know any trump supporters in real life. zero. none. not even my crazy fundie family can get behind him.

I wonder who you hang out with in real life, seriously :goofy:

You've made comments before that there's alot of racist people in your area, then you say you don't even know one single person who would vote for him...I'm not sure how that is because even in VT I know people who would.

And I stand by what I said too, you obviously don't know jack S if you say no self respecting woman would vote for him, and it is a classic liberal condescending attitude towards others who think differently. You might consider Clinton to be the lesser of the two evils, others see it different. About him being self made or not I already agreed on that before - if only I was given the millions he was given...
