Hi! So, we got a notification on March 9th that we got a request for additional evidence, and I already once started a topic what it could be. Now, in our letter attached in the petition we told the USCIS we met through an international website called Tinychat, about three years ago. Now I started to realize they could ask for evidence that it's not an international marriage broker or something. IF that might be the evidence they ask for, how exactly do I prove that it's not an IMBRA?

Thanks in advance :-)

My fiancee and I met on okcupid. To prove they weren't an imb I wrote their customer service and told them the details. They quickly returned the email with a congratulations and an official declaration that they were not an imb per imbra. I printed the email and put it in my initial petition.

Perhaps you can go down that road.

I got an e-mail back saying the next. I e-mailed back telling them it's not as easy as they'd think to just st ep into the office be like, "Move over, I gotta show you this website" so I e-mailed back that I really want some kind of declaration or anything that they also admit they're not IMBRA.

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us, how could we help in this matter? It seems that if you their office were just to visit our site it would be fairly obvious that we are not marriage brokers and are just a video chatting service. You could also attempt to point them to our terms of service here: http://tinychat.com/terms.html which explains what we are, and since this is sort of our legal fall back we would have no reason to lie there. Please let me know if there is anything more specific that we could do.

Thanks, and keep being awesome,
-The Tinychat Support Team

Well that and the e-mail will do the job. They want to know how it is on payments on the site too and so on. Have you tried to read in the IMBRA forum?

I start to think this is why we got a RFE. It might come in today or tomorrow. TC is helping me now, thank god. If the RFE is because of this, I will add another circumstances of meeting and signed by me with it.

Haha, it was nothing err.. worrying. The RFE came in today and we apparently forgot to check "Are you relative?" and submit the biographical data page of passport that you provided that shows the admission stamps. That's all haha.

i have not filed yet, waiting for annulment paperwork, but reading the I 129F, why don't people describe their first meeting in person, instead of referencing a website? That is when you truly meet. When you see them for the first time. I have seen other Vj members have success with printing the terms of service as suggested.

I would just like members opinions? Have you really met until you have seen each other face to face? I mean I have e mailed with the CEo of my company, but I have never met him…as an example.

You have to explain to them HOW you met and WHERE. So you need to start with how/where you met, through website or in the park etc, then continue on writing how you met for the first time etc. Ours got through like that so..

Also, I just figured they only need my biographical data page (I only send in the stamps but apparently that's not good enough?)

Glad it was something easy to fix :)

Hi, I met my fiance in an online language exchange too.....we submitted the policy and terms of the site that we meet and we didn't get an RFE ...i guess you need to print the terms and policy of the Tinychat and submit it to them.....put a post it or a sticky not in the terms and policy for the reviewing officer to notice it.:)
