Hi everyone!  I'm also having trouble with DMV in GA....

I went to Greensboro, GA and they said that because my I-194 has expired (I have been here for almost 5 months and didn't apply yet) they couldn't issue me with a license until I had the green card.  BUT they said it was no problem to keep using my UK license until then....is this correct??? I should be getting my EAD within a couple of weeks (fingers crossed!) Is it worth me trying again once I have the EAD in hand?  Also, will I have to take any of the tests?? I have a valid UK driver's license.

Thanks,

Charlotte

No you can't drive on the UK one.

Yes go back with the EAD you can get you DL with that one so very soon.

I'm from DK and I had to take the written and the driving test even though I have had a DL in DK for many many years. But they are not hard.

Thanks for the info!  Hopefully it's not too long for EAD!
