Is the Texas Service Center backed up? Haven't received my NOA 1 yet.

A little over a week ago I sent out the i-129 packet. From what I've noticed usually the NOA1 comes back fairly quickly for most people (3 days to a week). Maybe I'm wrong but that's the impression I got, despite it saying 1-2 weeks on the website.

So my question is.. if it's taking so long for my NOA 1 to come back.. does that mean there may be something wrong? :\ I'm really hoping it comes in this week and I can start tracking my case.

It's normal. Did you have tracking on your packet to determine when it arrived?

Also your case will not be going to Texas. It will be going to California (things changed since early last year). I promise.

Everyone sends their case to the Dallas Lockbox, it gets sorted through and routed from there.

It can take up to 30 days to receive receipt notifications from USCIS.

texas is backed up by a year , so itll prob go to CSC , which is way better for you

Okay guys. I checked the mail still no NOA1, I'm getting worried. I sent it out on March 3rd. Do you guys think the storms and flooding in the South may be delaying things? When should I get worried? :\

You keep writing I-129 I hope you mean I-29F?

Try to read through the February filers you'll see a lot waited 3 weeks before hearing anything.

I'm just concerned as to whether or not they received my file. :\ But what usually happens if you send out your file and it's been months and you don't receive an NOA1. I'm just trying to see if there's a back up plan or anything I can do to make sure everything gets sent. Also.. how can I find the February filers? Thanks!

Actually, I want to edit. I just looked it up.. it's supposed to be i-129. I'm so confused. What is the i-29f then? :\

I tracked it and it said it made it to it's destination. But now I'm worried I got the address wrong. D:

And yes I included all the forms, it took me forever to prepare them. : (((

And no.. the check hasn't been cashed. How long does it usually take them to cash it? From my experience with the government it takes them weeks.

No, if you have filed for a K1 fiancé visa, you need to send a I-129F along with other additional forms, not a I129.

Hi, yes. I included all the documents in the package, I did follow the guides. So I really don't think the issue is that I didn't include everything, because I literally went down the check list several times from the guides on this site. I sent the entire package. It took me forever to prepare it. Like months. :\

Well it's a problem if it the I-129 and not the I-129F.

Oh God. Yeah it's the I-129F. I'm such a newb. I didn't realize there was an I-129. lol. I just thought it was i-129 for short. oops. Now I know to be more careful in the future. But yes, it was for sure the K1 Visa. I even had my mom's lawyer look over it briefly before I sent it out.

I guess I'll just wait. I feel like it's been taking them longer than usual though? Because I remember reading about this before and it seemed like usually the NOA1 was sent over fairly quickly in a matter of days. But yeah February it seems folks have been waiting longer.
