I-129F "My citizenship was acquired through"

Hello,

Going to begin the k1 process soon and in reading form I-129F. When asking where I was born.....I was born in England to American Military parents. But in the section asking "my citizenship was acquired through" it does not give me an option to put that.

Options: born in the united states, naturalization, parents.

How should I answer this?, since military parents is not an option and because of that i wouldnt have a certificate number.

I got my certificate of citizenship when I was 23 and going into the Army. My brother never got his and he went to the US Military Academy. We were both born in Germany. You should at least have a Certificate of Birth Abroad (or be able to request one - mine was issued in 1980 based on a filing in 1954). From that you can get a certificate of citizenship.

I have no idea if it is worth the effort.

It's "Parents". You don't need a Certificate number if you've never had one. You would check "No" to the question about if you have a Certificate of Naturalization or Certificate of Citizenship.

It was through your parents, regardless of whether or not they were in the military, so that is your answer.

Thank you very much, i know the was probably obvious, but with how picky this process is, I just wanted to be 100% sure everything I mark down is correct.
