How long should I wait until contacting NVC for my case number?

My petition was misplaced, finally the congressman contacted Nvc and uscis and located my petition and forwarded to the Nvc yesterday, the congressman is the best to help in cases like mine, finally !! He help us in less that two weeks

Glad to see you got the case worked out. I am afraid that my case may be misplaced too. NOA2 was March 4th, but we haven't heard anything from NVC (called NVC everyday). Could you please message me on the procedure to request for congressmen's assistance?

Congratulations!! Im happy that they found your case, now everything will alright! :)

It says on ceac that our case was received by embassy on Monday, but I called them and they said that they just received the electronic case , not the actual one yet. Its been 5 days since then and they still didnt receive it, we are a bit worried. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get the actual package ??

You can track it on DHL's site

Assuming you know when it was sent.

I enter EXP 29 MAR 2016A and set the date from as 25/3/16

Had a look at those from the 25th, none match the country you've listed

Which is your embassy?

called NVC this morning again, was told they have received our packet from USCIS (between March 28th and March 31st), but no case number assigned yet. Is it normal?

I've seen it take a few days for a case number to be assigned, so depending on exactly when it was recieved, I'd say it's normal.
