Is this free speech?

"The audience hit back. That's what we need a little bit more of."

"Part of the problem ... is nobody wants to hurt each other anymore."

"In the good old days this doesn't happen because they used to treat them very, very rough."

"Try not to hurt him. If you do, I'll defend you in court, don't worry about it."

"I'd like to punch him in the face."

"Knock the ####### out of them."

"Maybe he should have been roughed up."

"I don’t know if I’ll do the fighting myself or if other people will."

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. So, what you're saying is, it's only acceptable for Trump to incite violence with his followers. Lord knows if these were the words of someone opposing Trump, you'd be in a panic attack.

Rob, it's still free speech, doesn't mean it's free from consequences :dancing:

"Oppressive language does more than represent violence; it is violence; does more than represent the limits of knowledge; it limits knowledge." -Toni Morrison

It is clear from the videos that the disrupters are violent and angry. They are low lives that just want to cause problems.

That French magazine showing images of Mohammad were inciting violence...

The two men in California that made a movie portraying Mohammad were inciting violence...

Salman Rushdie wrote a book in the 1980's - he was inciting violence

We could go on and on and on all day..

Complete utter BS - Smashing up a town and committing violence because you are angry is despicable, wearing shirts that says your are going to commit violence on people you disagree with and going to a rally of his supporters and starting a fight is despicable. Justify it all you want. IT. WAS. WRONG. and those that did it are total POS.

You are focused on the events in Chicago, What about the language used by Trump to incite violence?

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

It is not a question of right and wrong, it is question of Donald Trump is a leader of people...he brought this on by calling this sucker punch at his rally "impressive"

see a man who is stirring hatred and strife on purpose, for his purposes. You will see his language modulate now that he has apparently gotten what he needs out of the Primary process, but he needs to be accountable for the words he has used so far, for what ever reason he put them out there. Accountability for what you say is a hallmark of a leader.

He has said some bad things and CNN has a nice 2 minute montage on some of the stuff he has said. http://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2016/03/12/donald-trump-protesters-rhetoric-history-orig-vstan-dlewis.cnn Hehas actually incited violence, like the kind that old guy did recently that's in the news. But violent protesters who aim to prevent a rally from even happening are not his responsibility. All the stuff he's said about punching people in the face and all that is stupid.

There is violence in language and with fists on all sides. If the protesters were not at the rally there would not be fists. But the violence is not in the fists, it is in the vitriol and hatred that Trump uses in his language. This is not an accident on his part

Probably not, though I don't like Hillary. I wouldn't go to one of her rallies. These people protesting are free to not go. They are also free to march around in front of the rally and hold signs saying anything they like. March up and down the lines of people waiting to get in not saying a word but just carrying on a huge placard all the stupid stuff Trump has said. Legit, and legal. But, rushing stadiums, trying to take over a private event by disrupting it, in a private venue, won't get sympathy from most people. Twitter is full of people actually calling for the murder of Trump.

All of the Republican candidates are condemning Trump — who could be unstoppable after Ohio and Florida vote Tuesday — saying his rhetoric set the stage for what happened in Chicago.

"Donald Trump has created a toxic environment," John Kasich said. "There is no place for a national leader to prey on the fears of people who live in our great country."

Sen. Ted Cruz, Trump's closest rival in the race, noted that "in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top."

"When the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that it escalates," Cruz told reporters Friday.

Marco Rubio said Donald Trump's rhetoric is feeding into people's anger and encouraging behavior that leads to violence — and he suggested he might not support the businessman if he clinches the nomination.

Rubio told reporters Saturday that he still wants to honor his pledge to support the Republican nominee, "but it's getting harder every day."

Later, during a rally at industrial park in Largo, Rubio told supporters of Trump: "If he is our nominee, this is what our party is going to be defined by."

In other words all of Trump's competitors disagree with him.

Good luck!

Typical LIB. Read. Misunderstand. Misrepresent. Take a shot at a blanket accusation of the other poster being a liberal, and wait for the fellow bunker dwellers to come along and pat you on the back.

Trump supports, foments and incites violence in both his followers and detractors. In his own words. End of story. He is a d-bag and pulling a huge fast one on the Republican party.

we can't day Douche on VJ.? oh the irony

And his competitors did not say in public:

True it was a private event but the cynic in me says:

Trump chose to use the PUBLIC University in a downtown area, in a town filled with immigrants and people of color, where he is not liked by the public to hold this event. Donald Trump wanted to create a mob atmosphere. Not a characteristic of someone who wants to be the leader of our country.
