Hello Everyone,

My husband will be in military for 1 year this June and from what I understand, if he is not a US citizen, he can apply for N400. We tried to ask recruiter about our chance to apply N400 for spouse ( we are in 2 years marriage) and he does not know the answer. Does anybody know what is our chance? If we could apply sooner than 3 years that will be great since my husband would get deployment anytime soon and I would like to travel with US passport than Indonesia passport. Thank you

This might help. You can apply after basic training. You said he's been in a year.

It's kind of confusing are you asking for miltary member or military spouse? I'm guessing the spouse.

If he had orders in hand for an overseas assignment of more than one year then you could expedite spousal citizensip. You wouldn't have to meet the veil g married 3 years rule. INA 319.B
