I know this matter was discussed before but, can't figure exactly WHEN the counting starts for Obama care's non-coverage penalty.

December 2015: POE K-1 and married

January 20, 2016: AOS NOA1

February 1, 2016 Change of Aderess (In-State)

If the counting of non-coverage starts from January 20, and if I get health insurance via Exchange by March 20, will I be exempt from penalty?

Will the short coverage gap exemption be applied to months of January and February?

You are dealing with only dates in 2016 for when you file a year from now.

Coverage for one day during a month qualifies as coverage for the entire month. Get signed up this month and you only have Jan and Feb as non-covered.

05-16-12 Oath ceremony

The journey from Fiancé to US citizenship:

4 years, 2 months, 6 days

243 pages of forms/documents submitted

No RFEs
