Hi,

I arrived here in the US two days ago. I would like to know how I can obtain SS number and ID? Do I only have to go to the SSA office? Also, what are the documents I have to present?

I ticked yes on the SSN question found on the DS-260.

There's a 50/50 chance that you'll receive the SSN card in the mail. Give it two weeks. If you don't receive it by then, you can go to your local SSA office and apply for one.
