Hi, how long it takes to start working after completing the Background check electronically, or how long the background check takes,? do i have to do something , like emailing the recruiter? i thanks him while i finished my interview and i knew they want to hire me, he gave me a copy of some papers i signed and he told me i will receive email (back check) to complete and just wait until they contact me, when i completed the email/back check i didn't gave him any call, so i'm just waiting, I'm doing good? or i should call and let them know i completed the email! i think they know for sure , my first experience after rejecting offers and waiting and wasting time, so i had this time just to take any job

Thanks

No one can tell you exactly, but my husband just got a new job a few weeks ago and it took about a week and a half. His new employer did local, state, and federal background checks including FBI.

No one can tell you how long it will take to actallu start working as every company is different

Put yourself in the other person's place, and compose a nice inquiry that YOU would like to hear. I would include something like "I'm still very interested in the position..."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thank you for you answer, they contacted me yesterday, i still have a few questions i appreciate your help or anybody's help,

1. Do employers pay in the hire orientation day ?

2. the orientation is in too far location , i was wondering why!/ i thought i will have the orientation /training in the same location where i had my both interviews! is this normal?

3. I know the Position is Full time, but i see the start time now is 09.00 to 04.30? may be this schedule is just for the training?

i will ask the person i'm in contact with, i just want some answers from my VJ family

Thanks

Good that you heard from them. On the basis of your questions, it appears that they want to hire you.

1. You should ask.

2. This may be their training center. Did you ask earlier where you would be working, if hired?

3. That's 7.5 hours/day x 5 days = 37.5 hours/week.

The I-9 is a standard part of new-employee paperwork.

However you get to the training, be there on time.

Can your husband give you any advice or assistance?
