Where is the Greencard?

Hey All,

I took my family through the IR-1 / CR-1 process last year. From start to finish it took about 8 months to get everything approved and finalized (we were in Australia).

We moved to the states in September and its now been 6 months.

I believe we should have received the Greencard by now, but we haven't.

Does anyone know how I follow-up on this, who I need to speak to, what information I need to present, and specifically what phone number I should call to follow this up?

Also, now that we are here, what are our next steps? I saw something about needing to fill out some kind of form 2 months or so before our first 12 months is up in the states?

Thanks,

Sean

P. S. This visa process was for 3 people: my wife and two step children.

Did you pay the green card fee? If yes, then call USCIS at: 800-375-5283 and let them know it's been 6 months and you haven't received them yet.

Hmm, no form needs to be filled out before the first year.

When you wife arrived to the US, had you been married for less than 2 years? If so, she would receive the conditional green card and would need to remove conditions within the last 90 days of the 2 year anniversary of her entry into the US.

If marriage was more than 2 years, then she would get 10 year card and nothing else to do.

Hey Guys,

Honestly I can't remember what all we paid for. Is there any way to check with "the system" what we last paid for? I'm pretty sure all we paid for was everything we needed to get "in" to the U.S. in terms of the Visa. And yes, she's got the stamp in her passport and the letter I recall receiving was to do with the conditional status since we did arrive before we had been married for two years.

With that knowledge, do any of you know what my next steps should be?

Well the green card fee of $165 is only paid online on the Elis system.

You should've received an email receipt from paygovadmin. Try checking your email records. If not, then it seems like you haven't paid it. Did you all USCIS to ask?

This would have been paid online, after you got the visas. If you didn't pay anything after you got your passports back then you haven't paid it and that's why no green cards.
