include affidavit of support in k1 packet ?

afternoon

when it comes to the lagos embassy , ppl with successful k1 journeys , did you include the affidavit or did you just send it over a week or so before the actual visa interview??? Ive heard stories where ppl brought documents but the interviewer didnt look at them , it would be a really terrible thing if you had your affidavit ready to hand and they didnt take the time to look at it and then deny you

True. not needed. However I had all the docs so I just sent it in and then I brought copies with to the interview, of which they didn't look at.

Speaking from my experience, of course. It worked for us to do it that way. We also aren't from the Lagos embassy so maybe this post is for nothing

hah thats my thought process honestly , sometimes they dont ask for anything , some embassys arent different i guess , but i cant see including it go against u in anyway

it doesn't but it doesn't help you in anyway either.

Front loading for Lagos is always recommended, meaning send everything with the initial petition package and then send an updated letter of intent and

updated I-134 ahead of the interview, also ongoing relationship evidence such as trips and communication, photos, whatever you have that you didn't before

sending the petition.
All too often the CO's in Lagos make up their minds before the applicant ever steps up to the window and yes, they often do not want to look at what you bring

if they want to refuse the visa.

Front load and then bring it anyway is the key to a better chance for Lagos.

Front loading will set the pace because the CO has already seen your file with whatever should be in there.

Go with all that is required from the mail that was sent to u.from my experience the most important things is how often ur fiance came visiting. That was what i was asked and what he does.and i was approved lat yr

the quirks of Lagos and just because you did not have hassles doesn't mean anyone else won't have them.

My advice was to include it with the initial I-129F petition packet, to USCIS.

Then take an updated one to the interview along with other documents and relationship evidence.

As to your last question, they could very likely assign you to a certain CO who has looked at your file already.

We just got approved (k1), can we go ahead and complete form ds 160, pay and schedule an appointment for an interview after receiving our case number from NVC or we have to wait for the embassy to contact us first before we will be able to schedule an appointment? From my case i got approved 10th july 015,called nvc for case numb on the 20th of August and asked them when mycase was transferred to lagos cos i dint hear anything from both i was told it was transferred to lagos Aug 3rd, and lagos never contacted me. So i sent and email to lagos embassy teling them about my what nvc said and i attached my case numb to email and they replied me with all the info i needed.i.e to pay for visa fee, fill out d form, medicals and all.so probably u should email lagos embassy before u go ahead.
