I need to file a CR-1 via DCF in Juarez Mexico but on the I-130 it asks for my address only and not a seperate mailing address. So my question is.... can I but my future address in the U.S.A.? Reason I dont want to by my address is tijuana mexico is because there is practically no mail system here and I know I'll never recieve any correspondence sent by USCIS.

So will will I get denied the DCF if I put a U.S.A. address since the requirement for DCF is that I need to live in mexico? Any body have expirience in this matter filing in mexico? Or any experience would be appreciated. Thank you!

I think since you are filling DCF you should use your current (Mexico) address, not your US one.

That's what we did (Philippines) and we had no problems.

Your approval letter and the link for your next form DS-260 (actual visa application) will be sent to you by email.

Also future forms will give you more options.

Ok, I didnt know they would send all of that via email. My cousin who is helping me with this just did a k-1 visa for a his wife about a year or two ago and he said uscis only sent notifications of status changes via email. All the actual noa1, noa2...exc exc were hard copies sent via post office in the U.S.

Maybe uscis only sends hard copies where they know the recipients have a decent chance of actually recieving them?

You should receive a conformation email (if approved).

I've heard some people have received a conformation email and then have to wait for a case #.

If that happens you may have to call them for that or wait?

Personally we received a conformation email with case # only 6 business days after we applied.

From there we didn't realize how fast it could go.

There should be a link in your conformation email to file a DS-260 which is your actual visa application. Filling DCF you don't pay for it on-line but at the consulate. Make sure you print your application approval, we went one step further and printed the whole application just to be sure. You'll need your case # to complete it.

The next thing to do is make your interview appointment.

You'll need your I-864, you can download it from USCIS now and begin working on it.

How you fill it out will depend on your circumstances and there are some current threads about that.

Next is your medical.

Then for your interview you'll need all your supporting documents.

The whole process can take under 3 months.

Good luck..
