I'm sorry that your in the situation you are in now. I agree with the other comments especially the future terrorist one. I would definitely get him on child support right asap! Work w a lawyer on your divorce so that he can be responsible for those joint bills. I don't know how spousal support works but you might be able to get him for that as well. Good Luck

In that short of a marriage spousal may be difficult.

To those who think it is vindictive to seek out ways to revoke. What if it were you? What if you were in my shoes?

I would have held off having any child by him knowing what I suspect. Pregnancy is prevented by both sides. Now, you have a child in the middle of all this.

But the harm is already done..Stand up for yourself. Don't stay in an abusive situation just because you want to stay married. I will not put my child in a household where I fear for myself....

Do what is best for you and your child. Taking a revenge on him will only backfire due to the child involved. If he gets deported, you have a child with no dad to support him/her.

Over 3 years with one non-working spouse? Should be fine depending on the judge.

You aren't being vindictive and I don't think anyone is accusing you of being vindictive; although I may have missed those comments. You didn't take any actions during this time of being in an abusive relationship and now your options were limited. His actions, his citizenship petition and your divorce/marriage are three different issues. At any rate, it sounds like he would be eligible for citizenship without being married to you within two more years anyways, so he could have divorced you a long time ago. May I ask, why would he need to use you for citizenship now that he couldn't wait another two more years? It sounds like he has a decent job to support you, buy a small home and perhaps send some money back home to Pak?

Also he shot himself in the foot with the non working thingy.

I don't think you are being vindictive. I think you've been victimized by a controlling person, and anyone who slept on their couch for 3 years and felt they couldn't leave even to get the mail needs help. That's why I suggested you contact a domestic violence program for counseling. You have a child, and I said its good he's a citizen because you're not financially responsible for him. Your tie to him as his sponsor for immigration is DONE. You are a free person. Use this as a fresh start for you and your child. Divorce him, get child support because its his child and responsibility too.

You are searching for some way to hold him accountable, but there isn't any way to stop him from divorcing you, going to Pakistan, petitioning a wife. Its his life now, and I hope you can begin to focus on your life, without him.

He probably wants to keep OP from being independent, to rely on him, trap in the marriage while he plots his way to US citizenship.

If you have proof he forged documents that is all you could use, but that's not easy to prove. You should've seen the signs. Wanting to get someones citizenship revoked because they used you is vindictive. Moving on is the best option for you, but if he did break laws and you really think that'll make your life better do what you must. In the end you won't feel any better, you will feel better if you move on and find someone new though.

It has nothing to do with Pakistan. I am Pakistani and married to my American wife and have 3 year old cute boy. We are living happily together since 5 years. I am sorry he is doing this to you. Kick him out from house and report uscis about immigration fraud.

OP's soon to be ex is a Pakistani.

A&C is hoping to point out that 1 person's actions don't represent an entire nation, ethnicity or religion.
