If they live together he could be required to fill the 1864a because they would be household members

Ok, well if they do live together then it would be required but, her post didn't clearly state that he is a part of her household.

My son does live with me but he's in college right now. But at the time when we started this process he was wrking. So because of that I had to fill out the I 864a because he was a family member. That is why we are so confused because his paperwork goes along with my paperwork and doesn't not stand along as a Co sponsor.

I'm not sure what you mean by go with. You both should have separate forms. One he fills out and one you fill out.

The good thing is that he was not denied just delayed. Why did your son fill out the I-864a as a co-sponsor? He should have filled out an I-864. The I-864a is only if the sponsor filed taxes jointly with a spouse.

Our Co Sponsor is my Co worker and she works 3 jobs. My son had to do a I 864A because he's a house member. An he was wrking at the time before going off to college.

Just give them what they ask for and you will get the visa issued quickly after that. Sorry again about the delay

That's the problem smh.......We don't really know what it is that they want. I emailed them earlier so hopefully they'll let me know what it is that they actually want from us.

So you sent in an I-864 your son who lived with you an I-864A and you had an additional sponsor who filled out an I-864?

You got this!! Excited for you! Keep us posted!

I'm so sorry to hear that. Like Mrs. Burgz, said at least he was delayed and not denied. Hopefully it can be resolved soon. I don't really know or understand about the sponsor thing. Not sure why you had to add your son as a household member. I didn't send anything regarding income for my daughter who is a college student. And she works as well. While my address is her home of record, she's a dependent. Not sure if that's maybe because you needed a cosponsor?

Same here I am over income, but they said we need a joint sponsor and the nvc requested I bring n a corrected I-864 with the checklist to the interview, but they didn't take it. JA Embassy is not doing right at all and by chance was the interviewer a Chinese man?

They didn't take the document NVC required you to bring?? How frustrating?!! Hope you get your case resolved soon!

When your case was completed did NVC asked you to get an additional sponsor?

No everything went through just fine. We didn't have no problems at all.

He said the guy was Chinese and was a ###. He said he was the same guy that interviewed him when he tried to get the B1 visa.
