I know right...but what I can say is keep checking throughout the day, several times a day. Also, set up alerts for yourself with kykak and skyscanner. Don't know where you are flying to but again, see if you can fly to like Ft. Lauderdale with Southwest, JetBlue and then get a connecting flight like 3 or hours later with another airline to your destination. If I can think of anything that can help anyone save a penny, I will surely post it. Work too hard to be just be giving it away.

I'm was holding off but I don't think that they will go down until after the middle of August. School in the U.S. will be back in so....maybe??? Petes30, since I am on my phone can it's microscopic tiny...I can't recall where you are flying into...but check southwest (bags fly free), jetblue and spirit. There is another one but I can't recall the name of it off the top of my head. Ugh!! Said part is I have enough miles to get the dang this but I don't want to use them either in case I wanted to book is a little trip later...dang it to heck!

Nay, Picobenz...this was somewhat a calculated move. We just didn't know how the timeframe exactly. We wanted to make sure kids were situated, work contract ended and get some things done on the home he's building.."should've been quicker than that", I guess. Such is life you know. I could probably find a cheap one, in fact I did but it was like a 20hr flight with a layover in Canada...really? Not going to happen...who in their right mind would do that...Its only like a 2hr 45 min flight from there to here...I wouldn't even out my worst enemy through that torture.

I'm flying into nyc. The flight was 206 just last week now it's 606....not gonna happen, they told him he had 3 months to leave. So in the meantime him stay and sort out stuff here and then come...hopefully after the 4th him can come

You can also look at the difference flying out of Kingston or Montego Bay.

Oddly enough, Kingston was a tad bit more. Nevermind it though, I just pulled the plug and got it. I had enough frequent flyer points to cover the entire cost. So, it was nothing for me out of pocket. Figured I better since there were only "9" seats left but I know the trickery that they play. I will call here in a few and see if I can upgrade him. I know how it is to "share" your seat with someone...least I can do is make his "first" experience somewhat pleasurable...

Look at JetBlue leaving on 8 August from MBJ to JFK

Petes30, when you look at the flights look at leaving from MBJ. Also, the cheapest fair includes a personal item (fits under the seat) and a carry on (not sure what the size requirements are for them). Prices increase when you check a bag.

when you reach your point of entry you must present them the package, whether it's a direct or connecting flight the poe is wherever you enter the US first. Yes it's gonna take longer than a regular visit because they're going to inspect you per say so if you have a connecting flight make sure the layover isn't too short cause since you're coming from an international flight your gonna have to collect your checked luggage and re-check through security, they're gonna take you to another room or somewhere else to just ask you a few questions etc. if all goes well they'll stamp your passport with the temporary greencard which you'll use until you get the plastic one in the mail. The inspection should take about 30-60 mins normally if everything is in order
