Time waiting to passport return after K1 interview @ Manila USEM (split thread)

Hi,

I had my interview today at the US Embassy in Manila under IR-1. The consul didn't mention the word "APPROVED". What she said was something like "I can't issue it yet, has to do some clearance and you're good to go!" Does this mean she can't issue it yet ON THE SAME DAY because it still has to do undergo some processing and after that, I'm good to go? Does the CLEARANCE that she was referring to is the processing of the visa itself? Does this mean I got approved? Also, she handed me a pamphlet regarding what numbers to call if experiencing violence/abuse etc and a piece of paper on how to register my delivery address. When I went to the Releasing area to verify, the lady told me that I don't need to submit any more docs and I just need to wait for my passport and visa.

Just be patient and check the CEAC website.

We can't say for sure if you have passed but all the indicators are there that you did. Like Hank said, have some patience and check the CEAC website for your visa processing. Your almost there.

I just checked CEAC a couple of hours after my interview and this is what it says:

U.S. Department of State
IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
Issued
Immigrant Visa Case Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Case Creation Date: 21-Sep-2015 Status Updated Date: 10-Mar-2016
We have authorized issuance of your visa. Barring unforeseen problems, the visa packet will be delivered to your designated address by courier service within 7 to 10 working days from the visa issuance date. Do not finalize travel plans, purchase plane tickets, dispose of property, or cease employment until the visa is delivered to you. For visa delivery inquiries, contact 2GO courier service Call Center at (63)(2) 528-7136.

For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV.

I guess I just need to wait for 2go to notify my via text if it's already for pick up. :)

Hi,

I’m slightly confused. I had my interview last June 2 2016. The status in my CEAC is already issued. After my interview the consular gave me a white paper on how to register on my delivery address online. I don’t know if I did it right but I already have a transaction confirmation after registering that. I went to track my visa in the US DOC website but it says “Passport Status :

There is no status update available for the passport number submitted” I also tried tracking it in the 2GO E-track. I used my passport, MNL case and UID but it all says invalid. Omg im scared :'(

"No status" means the passport has left the embassy and it is now with 2GO, once 2GO gets the package entered into their system it will show up on tracking.

Now to see if it shows up on tracking before it arrives in your hands.....

Mine has said "no status available" and "invalid" since before it was issued to now, two days after issued.

does that mean it has left the building, or that there is something wrong?

Are you entering the the MNL # correctly on the CEAC website? Until (a short time after) ISSUED you look under IMMIGRANT, after ISSUED there will be a short time where status shows up under NONIMMIGRANT

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

It's difficult for anyone to predict when you will receive your visa. We are in "normal" visa processing times and we are seeing 5 to 10 business days after interview. But, at times we have seen upwards of 30 days to 6 months for some.

Part of the test measures in answering your question are, estimating the time it will take USEM to process, issue and 2Go to deliver. Since no one can exactly simulate all visa conditions, actual visa processing of each person will vary. As a result, when these estimated visa claims from other applicants are published, I almost always state the standard disclaimer "your mileage may vary."

Remember what USEM states in their Embassy Letter and in the notification you have received; "Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you".
