Will USCIS take issue with me traveling without my US husband prior to removing conditions?

Hello all,

So my husband and I have gotten past the major hurdles so far. Got the K-1, got my work permit, got my conditional Green Card.

I'm paying taxes, working part time, we have a joint bank account, joint health insurance, a joint account with our cell phone provider, and we are about to start paying rent jointly.

But as it stands, I've been away for over a year from my family back in Germany and would really like to visit them. I also have an online pen pal in California that I would like to visit, soon. My job allows me to take time off work to do these things, but my husband works full time, and his job won't give him time off. He has no problem with me traveling alone - but does USCIS have a problem with that?

I know that once the point of Removing Conditions rolls around, our entire marriage will be re-evaluated. And if they find out that I traveled by myself on more than one occasion, would that raise some eyebrows and warrant unnecessary questions and doubts from them? Is there a risk of being stopped at the airport and questioned about why I'm traveling without my husband? We have a very relaxed, liberal marriage and as far as he's concerned, I can do whatever I want if it makes me happy. I just don't want my travel plans to interfere with my chances for legal permanent residency.

Do any of you have experience with this kind of scenario?

Yes, for sure you can travel by yourself back to Germany. You have a 2-year green card, and it's fine to go visit. Nobody will ask you why you're going somewhere without your husband, don't worry.

I sure hope it's okay because my GC holding husband travels internationally for work about twice a month without me!

April 14: Real checklist for AOS (saying tax number was incorrect when it wasn't)
April 30: Another AOS checklist, for proof of employment (which was already sent)
May 1: Checklist for IV- certified marriage certificate (even though I sent a certified one originally)
July 1: INTERVIEW!!! - APPROVED!
July 16: POE through Miami
July 22: SSN card in the mail
August 30, 2014: Green card arrives in the mail!!!
 
ROC: 366 days
April 27, 2016: Sent 300 page ROC packet to VSC via overnight mail
May 16: Check shown as charged online, received NOA 1 dated April 29
June 20, 2016- Biometrics
April 28, 2017: Approval
May 4, 2017: Approval letter arrived
May 15, 2017: GC arrives in mail
 
N-400: 190 days
May 8: Sent packet to Dallas Lockbox
May 12: NOA 1, Credit card charged
June 7: Biometrics
June 16: "In line"
Oct 2: Interview letter arrives (online status still says ''in line'')
Oct 31: Interview- Approved!
Nov 13: Oath ceremony!  Applied for passport & registered to vote on site.
Nov 22: Passport arrives (paid for expedited service and overnight delivery)
