When our file was transferred to CSC, I thought it was a good sign. Today, I recieved an email saying the file has been sent to Missouri. Is this normal? Does this mean we'll have to do an interview? I don't understand. We were hoping to receive the green card soon without an interview. Can anyone shed some light on what usually happens now?

I was just quickly reading some past postings and people have said that getting transferred back to Missouri is rare. Now this makes me worry even more. Up to this point, we haven't had any problems, not even an RFE. I did notice that our case was touched on 3/2/07, 3/5/07, and 3/13/07 but I was hoping it meant good news. Then today I got the email. I'm just feeling down because we were so excited to get transferred to CSC. It's the rollercoaster ride and the not knowing that's unbearable. I'm sure everyone here can relate.

Yes we can.

But what's wrong with getting called for an interview? Back in 'the day', everybody was interviewed. It's not like an interview is a bad thing. It doesn't mean you are any less a couple.

We had an interview and lived to tell about it.

I think there's a big misconception in this community that NOT being interviewed somehow makes your case 'superior'. Fact of the matter is it's the luck of where your service center is, if they are backlogged or not, and if you happen to get pulled into the statistical pile.

I agree with that too. Everyone even prays for a transfer...even I thought it would be a good thing. It still may be.

There's nothing "wrong" with getting an interview but it means there's another hurdle to jump through. We've all jumped through enough hurdles in this whole process so having one less hurdle would mean so much, especially since our file already got to CSC. Our local service center is Atlanta and I can't imagine that Atlanta is moving any faster for them to send the file back. I thought our case was pretty straight forward, no co-sponsors, no dependents, no RFE's to this point. Now, we have to think about and consider all the possible reasons why our case would be sent back. It's just very stressful.

See. There ya go.

You are overemphasizing what a CSC transfer means and you've gotten yourself all worried.

An interview is NORMAL. Stop buying into all the nonsense you read posted about the grand and wonderful CSC transfer. Most of it is bogus.

Hi Elena!

Dont worry about your case being transfered back to MSC. As long as you have all the documents, proof of your bonifide relationship. you have nothing to worry about. I have never felt superior when my case was sent to CSC. I have copies of my document and proof of our relationship ready for my AOS in case our files were transferred back to MSC. I am wishing you the best on your journey.

Billy

Deb - stay on them about the AOS for your oldest son. If they tell you he is namecheck, demand an expedite.

You might want to look at uscis.gov for the 2/20/07 press release regarding Criteria For Expedite. Age-out of a child is on the list of reasons. If I went to my AOS interview and they told me my nearly 21 year-old child was stuck in namecheck, I would be breathing fire down their necks with this memo.

Either that or transferred simply because there were K2's as well.
