Hi all,

Sorry, once again it seems the search function does not like me, as it refuses to turn up anything.

I have a question about traveling to the US with the K1 visa. My fiance and I are planning to go through NY (so that he can get a temp work permit) and the flights we are looking at allow 4 hours between when we land in NY and when our flight leaves for Chicago.

Does this seem like enough time? The next, and last, flight out that day is 8 hours after arrival.

If anyone who has gone through NY with their K1, or anyone who has any information really, could respond, I would greatly appreciate it.

Went to England on working visa June 2006

Sent off I-129F October 2006 <3 <3 <3

In England until visa expired December 2006

We leave England for a stateside Christmas December 17, 2006

Karl goes back to the UK January 7, 2007

I make a scene at the airport January 7, 2007

I head back to the UK to wait it out with him February 9, 2007

The JFK POE can get very busy in mid-afternoon as many European flights arrive concurrently, but I would think that 4 hrs. would be sufficient.

Looks sufficient: many airlines book with intervals as short as 2.5

Or, you can take the 8-hour delay and catch (or attempt to anyway) a nap between clearing POE and connexion.

Hey, my fiancee arrived at JFK on Friday night. Took him about 1.5 hours after the plane landed to get through (and he has an Algerian passport so they looked at him very closely). I think you should be alright. Good luck!

03/09/07 - POE at JFK - Temp EAD given

03/13/07 - Married

AOS

04/20/07 - Package arrived in Chicago

04/26/07 - NOA1 for AOS and AP

05/08/07 - AP touched

05/22/07 - Biometrics

05/23/07 - RFE email notification for 485

05/29/07 - RFE received by mail - Request for medical exam

06/01/07 - Contacted congressman regarding RFE

06/08/07 - Case resumed processing

10/01/07 - Email Notice of Transfer to CSC

10/04/07 - Pending at CSC

11/09/07 - Green Card Approved
