Hi everyone,

I obtained my green card through marriage to a US citizen in August 2015 - I've just accepted a job in the UK that has a three year fixed term contract, it starts in June 2016. I can see that reentry permits are normally valid for 1-2 years. I will return to the US during this 3 year period quite regularly, but only for a few weeks at a time, and will maintain links to the US through my wife's family. Is it possible to have recently permits renewed while you're still working abroad? Is that likely?

Many thanks

Presumably you also have a house car, tax filings, medical insurance your spouse etc etc to show your residency.
