Oh ok. I'm in the process of filling it out, but a bit confuse. Only because they said you can't leave anything blank. Should I write N/A wherever it doesn't apply to me. Thanks

From page 3 of the Form I-751 instructions:

  1. Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed.

Could you please tell me where exactly does it say that you can't leave anything blank?

Read my reply above yours, it quotes the Form I-751 instructions.

I did.

I recently had to fill out an I-90 (lost my green card on the way back home from the airport, and couldn't retrieve it); the directions for what I specifically asked are the same for both forms, yet, when I filled out the I-90, the online software makes you leave everything that doesn't apply to you blank instead of N/A. My petition was approved a couple of days ago..

As someone else stated in another thread, I find it ridiculous that we have to fill every empty question that does not pertain to our situation with a N/A.

I would be interested in hearing about another applicant's recent experience with leaving the parts of the form not pertaining to them blank.

Thanks for chiming in! ;-)

The way USCIS rolls..... I would follow their directions explicitly. I personally think it is rather foolish, but then again they didn't ask me, and BTW, they make the rules, it is their ballgame....

Good luck on your immigration journey.
