Has anyone with real relationship got denied, even after second interview?

My fiance has her interview in early April and she is now a nervous wreck. I told her that our relationship is genuine and she shouldn't worry too much. The background check is taking too long, more than three weeks and it is still not done yet. I told her that she may have to pay some money to get it done quicker. She talks to people and some of them tell her horror stories of denials and she got even more nervous. Someone told her about paying money 1.5 million dongs for a service agency in HCMC city to guide her through the process. I feel that we have everything ready now but told her that it is up to her to use support service in Vietnam or not. If it makes her feel better then she should use it.

I went back there three times in the last 18 months since knowing her with many pictures that included engagement ceremony last December. My dad also came back with me for the party. We have a lot of evidence with printout of skype pages, 3 expired visas, hotel, flight and credit card receipts and travel to Da Nang, Ha Long Bay, my home town, Singapore, and Malaysia. My dad also went with us to Singapore and Malaysia with pictures to prove. I feel that we have very good relationship evidence but her nervousness makes me worry too.

Has anyone with real relationship got denied even after second interview?

I went back to go to the intwrview with her. The interviewer was really nice. He asked us a few key questions such as how many kids we plan on having, boy or girl and we answered exactly our plans. The important is that you bring all orignal paperwork, not copies. You should be fine. It does help to organize pictures and proof of relationship though. They will ask and make sure you have them. The process took 5 mins but waiting was 2 hrs ish. GL

Pay money to guide her through what process exactly ?

All she has to do is go to the interview correct ? No need to pay someone to coach her through that.

Know each other and each other's families well enough so any question they may ask her can be answered.

Vietnam is not an easy country to be approved in and sure, beneficiaries with real relationships

can be denied if the submitted petition and relationship evidence is too skimpy or if things show up during a background check....for all kinds of reasons.

I think it would put her mind at ease if you were there with her during the interview phase and would be additional evidence of a bona fide

relationship. Then come home together :)

Your case looks cut and dry, just prepare for the questions for the interview. Tell her not to listen to others and all the noise. It can be easy to get caught up in the negatives especially horror stories from other. Focus her on the positives!

Longrangeshootr is correct. Don't pay anyone for anything. Be there for the interview. She will get interviewed first and they may (or may not) speak with you. I advise that you walk up to the window with her - this lets them know that you are there. They will make you sit down and call you up later (or maybe not). Know what is in your submitted photos (when they were taken, where, who is in the photos, etc.). Know your financial info very well. I was grilled a little bit, but mostly about some confusing tax records and how we met. Don't lie or stumble. Answer to the best of your abilities. If you don't know something, just say "I don't know."

You will be OK. It's not as bad as you think.

Good luck!!!

Wife was asked basic questions and nothing more. It was pretty painless and she did it without me being there.

Tell her this. If you guys are meant to be together, nothing and no one can stop you. That's it. No more no less. And no worries.

I went back to go to the interview with my then-fiancee. I even prep'ed her no less than 80 interview questions. She spent less than 10 mins at the interview window and they didn't even want to talk to me. The only time I was called to the window is when the interview was over and the CO wanted to tell me that we had a good case and that her visa should arrive in time for us to leave together (I bought her ticket in advance. LOL)

Last time I went to submit my medical stuff, I saw this girl was rejected the second time. They said her big stack of photos weren't enough. Pretty loud. So it all depends. Good luck!

They approved my fiance's visa. They said wait up to two weeks for visa. The case officer, a Caucasian man looked at the pictures, asked about me (petitioner) and then said that we look happy in the pictures. Thank you very much everyone. I and my fiance worried too much.

When my wife which might be difference for your fiance but when we checked out, they asked us if we want to rush the visa process to 4 days for about $25. But since i already gambled and bought her ticket to go back with me in 2 weeks, i rushed our visa. Not sure if she had that option but congrats to you guys. Best of luck.

Thank you. My fiance didn't mention about the expedite service. I will ask her about it tomorrow. My fiance will travel to the US by herself.

Can she book the ticket in Vietnam or should I buy from the US? Also, does she need some type of service that guide people on what to do at LAX? It has been so long, I forgot the custom process at the airport.
