Probably good for the country if this goes ahead. I have no sympathy for somebody getting a poor gpa in a toilet paper degree (like all of the arts degrees), because they've been close to worthless for decades. Law school has conventionally been a more reliable path to a good job, though that is also changing now, but if the school did meaningfully deceive, they need to be held accountable.

We also need to make it possible to swear off student debt through bankruptcy like used to be possible. Easy money for garbage degrees is ruining a lot people's financial health.

I wonder if this case was allowed to go to court because she is suing for so little. The amount doesn't even cover her college debts.

Among the 320 managing partners and chairmen Altman Weil polled, 60 percent reported that overcapacity was making their firms less profitable. At large firms—more than 250 attorneys—the problem was even worse: 74 percent of leaders said idleness was hurting profit.

There are too many, and it's not a guaranteed nice paying job like it used to be--like medicine still is (though I think that's a horrendous profession almost half of doctors agree: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/30/doctors-regret-medicine_n_1464663.html).

The demand in the workplace is changing from professional white collar jobs back to blue collar jobs. Mechanics, HVAC Techs, Truck Drivers and Construction Workers are all in high demand now. I have a friend who owns a decent size trucking company that services the northeast and he can't hire enough qualified ltl drivers to fill the positions needed. The HVAC companies I deal with daily are always asking me if I know anyone decent looking for work.
