You have 2 applications?

I meant I have two application numbers. At first, it was just one application number when I received I-797 then I was given the second number and first saw the second number in the box on I-797C. I didn't know what's that mean. The person at USCIS the local center wasn't sure why I had two numbers and she said "Anyway, this case was denied I take your green card." then I asked then why the second number is still pending?? She said, " It should be linked. So even that number is still pending your case is closed." Ok, I don't know. The attorney looked maze, too. Yesterday. When the attorney called to see status The first's response was doesn't exist, the second number was pending. I called USCIS and asked to be connected to immigration officers. They all say different things. That gave me some don't know much about what they are doing. It is hard to trust what people say who is called officials. I would like to see another attorney, too.

Do people receive email notices?

I have signed up when I had sent my I-751 packeage. I have bever receive any emails. Received, requesting more evidence, interview, or denial. One of the immigration officer told me the letter was sent in December while others said it has never been sent because it was ordered, but never generated. Because different person(higher) complete the denial. I just wish I had received interview letter(if it was ever sent out to me).

What do you mean by my congressman or senator's immigration aide? Do you mean if I know congressman? which I don't unfortunately...

If that's not what you mean how can I get aid?

It means you can reach out to the congressman or senator in charge of your district to help you contact USCIS and speak to find out more about what happened to your case

Ah, ok. The first number on the receipt for the I-751 is worthless for tracking. You use the second number, from the biometrics notice, to track your case. Surprising the person for USCIS didn't know that. This is standard for everyone. Its common knowledge on this forum.

I would be VERY concerned if the attorney you spoke with didn't know that. Great idea to speak with another one.

Email and text notifications aren't reliable. You can sign up, but many people never get an email or text.

I second the idea to contact your local representative/senator. Here's how you can find them. Each one has an immigration caseworker who can call a special number and receive information about your case. USCIS is obligated to respond to them in a timely fashion, probably within a few weeks. Contact the representative. Say you have an issue with immigration. The representative will have you fill out a form giving them permission to contact USCIS on your behalf. Then, wait a little bit to see what they say.

She didn't know that. I was concerned, too. I want to find someone else, too. It seems sooner is better, but no luck. I am hoping I can speak to another attorney today.

I will try.

Thank you so much.

I will update when things start getting back on truck.

I thought the easiest thing to do is make an infopass appointment and tell them you never received the letter? In most cases the lawyer will just need to file a motion to reopen. You need another lawyer if that one has not told you so yet.

I went to local service center last week without infopass. I couldn't wait for two weeks for my appointment. Fortunately, I got talked to them. They were very helpful. It's finally started going somewhere. I am hoping something good happen soon. Really soon.

The lawyer I met didn't tell me I should go and tell them. She told me that she didn't want me to do anything like calling 800 or going there if I wanted to hire her. But I knew I didn't want to hire her when we were having initial meeting. But I told her I wouldn't hire her because I couldn't afford her, although the truth was I didn't think I want to hire her. I wanted hire someone else even I end up paying more. So, I found a few other immigration lawyers and set up meetings but they were all ten days away like next week. I couldn't give up to go back to my country for a week at the end of this month. So, I called 800 numbers and went the local service center and I started finding out more and more what happened and what did not happen.

I am just grateful the officer at the local service center were helpful. I don't know what would happen next to my case if is going to be reopened, interview or actually finally denied (I don't think so) or take long time. But this time I will make sure to really check with them not checking online status site if I don't hear from them in a few days.

Thank you all very much for your comments and advice. I really help you all helped me keep going and stand up for myself. It is hard to deal with officials in different country I grew up in. Thank you...

I have filed new I-751 as I was directed by USCIS and a received notice of receipt a few days ago.

Will you tell me how long it takes before I can see my status on online case status check?

I can't let an error happen this time like last time. My case was dined because I didn't go to an interview which I was requested to go although I never received any notice.

Thanks.

It will probably take 6 months. You may not receive a bio-metrics notice if you had done it less than two years ago so you may need to call them and ask for the number you need to check your status online. I have seen this before and it ended up with an approval. All the very best.
