Hi Everyone,

I am not a new member to Visa Journey, i was here back in 2006, but that journey ended. Never in a million years did i think i would go through this process again!!

My fiance is from Santo Domingo, we have been a couple for 2 years. We have decided to marry this year, so i have been doing research on what exactly i need to get married in his country. If someone could look over what i have read i need, i would be very greatful.

Birth certificate notarized, translated into Spanish and both the original and the translation Apostilled by the appropriate authority.

Divorce certificate notarized, translated into Spanish and both the original and the translation Apostilled by the appropriate authority.

Affidavit of marital status and address showing the passport number of the applicant. Photocopy of valid passport and stamps.

One question i do have, as i have read conflicting information, do i have the Affidavit of Marital Status done here in the US or the RD?

Thank you all in advance for any help you can give me! :)
