Thank you for your reply! Our case was finished on September 28. We had to wait about 6 months before finally receiving his interview date! We just received it last week :)

You're welcome! Our case was completed months after yours so it'll probably be a couple more months for us. I hope things go smoothly for you two. Let us know how it goes! :)

Thank you Soccer123! Good luck!!

To peekaboohb, CONGRATULATIONS! Can I pick your brain for some information? You guys didn't get administrative processing? Do you remember what questions they asked you guys? Do you remember what vaccinations you had to get and the prices?

Also- Did they take your passport to stamp your visa in, and if so, do you have to stay in turkey until your visa and passport are ready for you to pick up? Because you can't travel back to your country without your passport right?

Sorry for so many questions! Trying to get prepared for hubby's interview in less than a month!

We didn't have administrative processing.

They asked questions about our relationship, my husband can't really remember specifics but they asked a lot of questions.

He had to get one additional vaccination because the doctor didn't believe his record so the total was about 200 dollars.

They take your passport and send back with all the paperwork to the PTT that you registered with, it took ours 7 days to arrive.

You cannot leave the country, you will not have a passport!

Hello,

My wife case was approved on Feb 10, 2016. We are now waiting for visa interview date (almost 80 days so far).

Does anybody know what is the timeline we are looking at?

She is from Iran and we live in Istanbul.

Thanks,

Did you guys get e-mail from NVC says case is complated. I got that :

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa

case. The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a
consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application.
NVC schedules appointments one month in advance. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate General
tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments in a firstin, first-
out manner. Most appointments are set within 60 days of NVC receipt of all requested
documentation. However, we cannot predict when an interview appointment will be available.

Yes, we got that email on Feb 10th, 2016.

Do you know how long would it take until we receive Appointment Date?

Thanks

I dont know. I'm waiting interview date too. My case is complated 20 April 2016. I read one couple's comment, their case complated feb 20 and meeting may 23 2016. I think yours is close too.

But I am not sure, do they make differents for Turkish citizen.

Hi everyone. My husband lives in Iran and will have his visa interview next month. Finally! Does anyone know if every Iranian resident has to go through the Administrative processing thing? Or is it only for people with criminal records?

My husband is also from Iran. I wonder, how long did it take him up to the interview?

My Case was approved at the NVC on March 8th.

I am waiting for an interview date. This is for my parents

Based on other responses in this thread it can take up to 6 months to get an interview date from this embassy.

I was wondering if it helps at all if I call the NVC or the embassy to get an interview date?

My wife case has been completed since Feb 10th and we are still waiting.

No, I don't think so you can contact, normally embassy send available dates to NVC and NVC based on first come first server, schedule the appointment dates.

I called them many time the only answer I got was "WE DON'T KNOW".
