2. A couple of years ago, we procured a pair of dusty dress-loafers at a GS for half a buck, deal man. (The seller probably thought that he had pulled a fast one on us, little did he know man.) After a Mexican shoeshine, they blindingly gleamed like an illegitimate male child, ha man. They remain one of our best-looking, most comfortable, and favorite brown pairs, so there man.

Buying shoes at retail is, except in rare case of emergency, about as dumb as buying furniture retail, in our opinion man. Over the last couple or Many years, we have upgraded our dress-shoe collection so that, out of an inventory of Many (2x2x2-1) black pairs and Many (2x2x2-1) brown pairs, only one pair of each was store-bought, and those were years ago, see and si man. The upgrades have all come from MSs (moving-sales), thrift stores, ESs, and GSs, in that approximate order, see man.

The new purchases are all of highest quality and comfort, si man, and are typically big names, bonus man.

The benefit of buying pre-owned shoes (as with pre-owned toilet seats) is that they've already been broken in, so one can see their quality, judge their level of "wear," and get a true literal feel for whether they will hurt one's feet, see and judge and feel man. These characteristics are all unknown when one buys shoes at ultra-inflated prices in retail stores, verily man.

However, we will never buy sneakers/athletic shoes resale unless they're new with tags or obviously worn only once or twice, no man.

Who would be so financially profligate as to spend Many cents on a YS/GS plate, huh and duh man?

Do you get the athletes fungus treatment at the garage sales also?

My wife would kill me for wearing some dead man's shoes.

BTW I don't spend any money on shoes, my wife now buys all my shoes and demands I get only name branded high quality shoes.

If I was hillbilly, I'd go kick his ### on the anniversary of your divorce...like, beat the #### outta him...

Today 2 years ago, we had left Marathon, had fruitlessly gone GS-ing in Fort Stockton, had found a designer tie in an Odessa thrift store for $1, and were eating lunch in a below-average Chinese buffet, rememory man. We then drove from Odessa past Midland to Big Spring, where we had never been, and rued the decision because Interstate Many was all clogged up with oilfield trucks and big rigs, get a horse man. We were too tired to be much interested in the Goodwill stores in Big Spring and Midland, and we got caught in beastly oilfield traffic trying to get to our hotel, grrrrrr man. We dined heartily at Burger King for dinner, ingest man, and had a beastly time trying to pack all our purchases for the trip home, finally figured it out man.

The new guy starts today. We've been referring to him as "the new guy" lol

Well, might that be because he IS "the new guy," duh and :bonk: man?

(Egad, man -- Steveklar is outdoing even his usual self today, headsmack man.)

Speaking of too much food [...] this doesn't seen to be a habit that gets broken when they move to the USA. BTW my friend's wife has been here over Many years and still does this.

Add them to the deportation lists, huh man?

Oh god. Do you eat it before it goes bad?

It's almost always good even before it goes bad, see Niki-B. ma'am.

Tark'd eat it even AFTER it goes bad....

Plagiarism, see man! Reported!!!

My step dad does that. My mom has to throw out food in secret so he won't take it out of the garbage just to show her and get sick.

And, as far as buying/wearing resale shoes, riddle us this, clueless crusaders:

1. You buy new shoes at inflated retail prices, $i man.

2. You try breaking them in for a couple of weeks but they still hurt your feet, endemic risk man.

Many. In disappointment, you donate them to Goodwill or elsewhere precisely so that...

Many. ...someone ELSE can find/wear/enjoy them, man!*

*and to get the tax write-off, whee man

My feet don't hurt at all, and there was no breaking in period on these fine, although expensive shoes. Total cost to me was zero $$$. The wife bought them out of her money. Which id she hadn't spent on shoes for me, she would have spent on shoes or some other article of clothing for her. I just enjoy the comfort from day 1 of getting them. Good shoes need no breaking in period.

Speaking of that, I found my wireless headset I used to use while chatting with my wife the other day. I think I might bring it to the office.
